I would contact Raleigh again and tell them the name of the shop you bought it from and how much trouble you've had with him. Play the pity card. It will probably work. I will try to remember to ask my local shop (which I trust 100%) how you could deal with this. (As a side note, depending on the size of the shop, they may stock 10 or more brands of bikes.
